Solar

The Bishkek Waste-to-Energy Project, located in Bishkek, the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic, is being implemented by Junxin Environmental KG Invest LLC under an investment, construction, and operation model. The concession period of the project is 35 years, including the construction phase.

The project is designed to process up to 3,000 tons of municipal solid waste per day and will be implemented in phases in accordance with the requirements of local authorities. The current phase involves an investment of approximately USD 95 million, with a treatment capacity of 1,000 tons per day and an annual waste processing volume of 365,000 tons.

The project includes the construction of a 30 MW condensing steam turbine generator unit. The planned daily net electricity output supplied to the grid is approximately 450,000 kWh, with an annual power generation of about 146 million kWh. This is equivalent to saving approximately 80,000 tons of standard coal consumption and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by around 100,000 tons per year.

This project is the first waste-to-energy facility in the Kyrgyz Republic that generates electricity through municipal solid waste incineration. Commercial operation is scheduled for the end of 2025. Upon completion, the project will significantly improve the regional environmental situation, provide residents with clean and green electricity, and make an important contribution to local social and economic development.
